Subjects: Maths, Applied Maths
Stephen is an experienced tutor with a strong academic and professional background. He holds an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cork Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Florida Atlantic University.
With years of experience as a tutor, and state examiner, Stephen specialises in helping students build confidence and master key concepts in Maths.
He brings over 20 years of applying Maths in industry across various engineering roles with companies like Logitech, Stryker, Tyco, and Phillips, where he held roles from Project Engineer to Project Manager.
Stephen Teaches Maths on a one to one and small group basis.

Brian is a qualified secondary school teacher an an experienced tutor, with over 8 years experience. He is registered as a teacher with the Teaching Council of Ireland. Brian has also corrected state exams.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education (PME), Master’s in Financial Economics & Risk Management (MSc) and a BA in Economics and Psychology all from UCC.
Brian joined Alpha Maths in 2025 and teaches Maths, Economics and Business to Secondary School students and Econometrics, Quantitative Finance at university level.
He has worked in various secondary schools in Cork, teaching maths, business and economics. He was also a Teaching Assistant for Econometrics & Data Analysis at UCC.

Subject: Irish
Tríona is a passionate and experienced secondary school teacher. She is a registered teacher with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
She holds a First Class Honours Bachelor of Education from University College Cork, where she was awarded a College Scholar Award for her outstanding academic performance.
With over 9 years of teaching experience, Tríona currently teaches Junior and Senior Cycle Irish at higher and ordinary levels. She brings extensive knowledge of curriculum planning and exam preparation from the classroom.
Outside of the classroom, Tríona has worked as a state examiner and as a UCC Plus tutor, helping Leaving Certificate students excel in Irish oral exams.
Known for her student-focused approach, she adapts lessons to suit each learner’s needs and builds confidence in both spoken and written Irish.
